A downloadable game for Windows
Cave Game is a simple 2d platformer by Thecrazywingman from TERA Studios. Explore beautiful cave systems whilst avoiding the dangerous Oracle.
Warning: This game might be a bit hard at first, because the movement is extremely fast. You will get used to this after a bit (probably). Just remember to quick tap movement keys, not hold them.
Controls:
[A] Move left
[D] Move right
[W] Jump
[L] Skip to boss fight: WARNING: This was originally a debug feature, but I forgot to take it out, so now it is an intended form of cheating. Do keep in mind that this is a bit buggy and will slightly break the game. If there is ever going to be a speedrun.com thingy for Cave Game, using the [L] key is not allowed.
This project was made for the BUas programming intake assignments of 2025 and 2026.

Install instructions
To install this game, download the ZIP-file and extract its contents. Inside of the folder there is an executable called "tmpl_2019-08_x64". Run the executable to play.
You should get a warning message. The only reason this is here is because Microsoft likes to take developer's money and give annoying pop-ups when they don't succeed at that. Click the notably small "more info" button and then click "Run anyway". Now you should be able to play the game.
You can also read the readme file if you really want to.
There is also another ZIP-file containing the source code for the game. Use this if you want to make a mod.
